Zoom Integration Guide
Last updated: May 13, 2026
This guide explains how to connect, use, and disconnect Zoom in hora Calendar on macOS.
Before You Start
- You need a signed-in Google account in hora Calendar.
- Zoom connection is optional and is only needed if you want hora to manage Zoom meetings for your events.
Add Zoom to hora Calendar
- Open Settings in hora Calendar.
- Go to Accounts.
- In the Zoom section, click Connect Zoom next to the account you want to use.
- You will be redirected to Zoom authorization.
- Review the requested permissions and click Allow.
- Return to hora Calendar. The account will show as connected.
Use Zoom in Events
- Create a new event or edit an existing one.
- In Video call, choose Zoom.
- Save the event.
hora Calendar will create and link a Zoom meeting for that event. When you edit event title/time, hora updates the linked Zoom meeting. When you delete the event, hora deletes/cancels the linked Zoom meeting.
If Zoom is not connected, you can still save the event and add a Zoom link manually.
Remove Zoom from hora Calendar
- Open Settings in hora Calendar.
- Go to Accounts.
- In the Zoom section, click Disconnect for the connected account.
This removes local Zoom tokens from your macOS Keychain and stops Zoom API actions from hora Calendar.
Revoke Access in Zoom (Optional)
You can also revoke access directly from Zoom:
Data and Security
- hora Calendar stores OAuth tokens in macOS Keychain.
- Event and meeting metadata is stored locally in the app sandbox.
- API communication with Zoom uses HTTPS (TLS).
- For details, see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
